Eulogy

Now it may not make the headlines of the New York Times today.

But the world is a sadder place For a Mom has passed away.

She never made a mark on the country’s politics and such

But she left a little piece of her in every life she touched.

Daughter, Wife, Mom, and Grandma, she played each part so well.

We all will morn her passing, if it is the truth that we would tell.

So take a moment to think of her and when you do please smile.

Don’t cry for her, she’s earned her peace, we’ll see her in awhile.

No, the headlines will not notice, or inform us on this day.

But the world will have an empty spot.

A Mom has passed away.

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
Refrain
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

Refrain

I'd stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

Refrain
