Section One is meant for those people who are looking for
legitimate
paid survey sites that offer incentives to complete online surveys and
participate in paid focus groups. There are a number of great paid
survey
sites out there to join. There are also a few survey sites that will
just
plain rob you. MyView sits at the top of my "They Will Rob You," list.
Before going any further, let me mention THE SURVEY POLICE
Use Survey Police to check out the legitimacy of new sites
before joining them. You can also file your complaints
against survey sites. Survey Police will contact the site
and attempt
to resolve your complaint. Survey Police is a valuable resource when
researching
paid survey sites.
MyView promises you $1 for each profile survey you complete
plus a specified $ amount for each survey you complete. After a
period of time, probably a short period of time, MyView will do one
of two things to you. Either MyView will let you run your balance up
so that you can cashout and then never transfer your earnings to your
PayPal account, or MyView will wait until you are $1 short of having
enough to cashout and then declare you a fraud and cancel all of your
earnings. One thing is for sure. MyView will never pay you. Currently
there are over 900 active complaints against MyView at Survey Police.
InBoxDollars seems like a great offer/paid survey site until
you
build your account balance up to $30 and request your first payout.
This is when InBoxDollars hits you with their surprises. You have to buy
your check. It will cost you $3. No other paid survey sites makes you
buy
your check. The surprise gets even better. If you do not remain active
during the 6 to 8 weeks it takes to process your payout, InBoxDollars
will
not process your payout. In other words, you must endure another 6 to 8
weeks of InBoxDollars if you want to get your check for $27. I tolerated
InBoxDollars for a full year at which point I just could not take being
cheated by them anymore.
Opinion Outpost is your best bet. Opinion Outpost sends
frequent survey
invites. Completed Surveys are paid with points which to convert to
cash.
Ten points equals $1. Most surveys pay $3 to $5 and take about 15
minutes to
complete. A few surveys will pay substantially more. Those that pay more
are either long, up to one hour, or are complex. Opinion Outpost
donates ten
cents to the American Red Cross for each survey you attempt but do not
qualify
to take. Opinion Outpost pays by check. Checks usually arrive at your
address
within a month of requesting the check.
ACOP or American Consumer Opinion Panel sits at the top of my
"Paid
Survey Sites That You Can Trust List." ACOPs survey are somewhat
difficult
to qualify for. ACOP tends to pay more for completing surveys than most
other paid survey sites do with the exception of EliteOpinion. Most of
ACOPs
surveys take 15 minutes to half an hour. ACOP pays by check. You do not
have to request a payout. ACOP pays for each completed survey
individually.
Join American Consumer Opinion Panel
Pinecone Research is much like ACOP and is certainly worth
joining.
Pinecone Research sends out 2 or 3 survey invites per month. The survey
invites you receive are based on your responses to non-paid survey
screeners.
Most surveys pay $3 and take 20 minutes or less. $3 doesn't seem like
much.
It's likely that $3 check will show up in your mailbox on a day when
your
broke and could really use that $3.
ClearVoiceSurveys is an excellent paid survey site to join.
ClearVoiceSurveys
pays you to complete surveys. They do something that apparently no other
paid survey site does with the exception of Survey Exchange.
ClearVoiceSurveys
pays you .25 cents for each survey you attempt but do not qualify to
take.
ClearVoiceSurveys pays by Amazon.com e-certs, Dining Dough, and Payoneer
Mastercard Debit card. Amazon.com gift certificate codes are sent to
the email
address at which you are registered immediately after cashing out. You
do not
have to wait to get the Amazon.com gift card code. ClearVoiceSurveys
has a
minimum payout amount of $10. ClearVoiceSurveys accepts new members
that are at least 13 years old. Yes, they also accept adults.
Valued Opinions is worth joining. Their surveys are somewhat
difficult
to qualify for, but they tend to pay more for completed surveys. Valued
Opinions has a minimum payout amount of $20. They pay by Amazon.con
e-certs
and by Macy's gift cards. Amazon.com gift card codes are sent to the
email
address on the account immediately. Macy's gift cards are mailed.
Membership is by invitation only.
MySurveys is alright. They pay in points. 8000 points equals
$10.
Their surveys are very easy to complete. MySurveys partipates in the
Hallmark Rewards Choice Program. The Hallmark Rewards Choice Program
lets you pick gift cards from over 300 stores.
your2cents is worth joining. your2cents has a minimum payout
of $10 and
pays by check. your2cents offers many opportunities to test new
products.
Product testing pays considerably more than completing surveys. When
selected for a product test, your2cents pays all shipping costs. That
is true for all paid survey sites that offer the chance to do product
testing.
LightSpeedPanel really is a great site to join. If your only
interested in compleing high paying surveys, then LightSpeedPanel is the
way to go. Such surveys are rare. LightSpeedPanel has more high paying
surveys than any other paid survey site with the exception of
EliteOpinion.
LightSpeed Research owns EliteOpinion. Fact is, the low paying surveys
add
up. If your not willing to do low paying surveys, then you will not see
many payouts. Just remember that you are being paid to tell companies
just
how much you like or hate their products. If you have DSL, feel free to
use
Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera. If you have dial-up like
I do
then I recommend you only use the latest version of the Opera browser.

QuickRewards is an alright offer/paid survey site. You are
allowed to
to complete up to 3 surveys per day: one from Greenfield Online, one
from
OTX, and one from my2cents. Realistically the most you could expect to
earn
at QuickRewards is about $27 a month. There are days when that extra $27
could come in real handy. QuickRewards pays by PayPal and has a minimum
payout
of $1. Payouts to PayPal are usually processed a few hours after
requesting them.
PollingPoint is a good site to join if you are interested in telling
your government what you think. Quite often compiled results from surveys
conducted by PollingPoint are incorporated into reports at CNN and
other National News programs. You will not see many payouts from
PollingPoint.
Elite Opinion is worth joining if you have a background in business. Their
payouts are rather high compared to most other sites. The average Joe will
not qualify for many surveys offered by EliteOpinion. They pay by points which
convert to PayPal, merchandise, Amazon.com e-certs, and gift cards. 2000
points equals $18. Most surveys pay at least that much. I'm not sure what
their address is, so I'm listing two addresses. If the first one doesn't work,
then the second address will.

Unfortunately, I only have experience with those paid survey sites that
allow U.S.
citizens to join. I am not trying to discriminate against citizens of
foreign nations.
It is very important that you fill out Profile Surveys. You will not
be paid to do so, however doing so will greatly increase your chances of being
invited to complete a survey.
There is an easy to way to get USB Flash Drives to work on
machines running Windows 98
4.10. THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU ARE USING A KINGSTON OR OLYMPUS USB
flash drive. It does
work with all Sandisk drives 10gb and smaller. I haven't tried it with
anything larger than
10gb. It took me at least 100 hours to figure this out. I broke my
right hand 28 times,
and I put 28 holes in the living room wall. I cannot take credit for
the solutions I list.
I found these solutions on-line. None of the solutions I found worked
on their own. When
I began combining solutions, I found 2 solutions that do work.
Following are the instructions
for installing those 2 solutions.
First you are going to need two files: csmapper.sys and
carddrv.exe.
You can try to find them on your own. Good luck!!!!! I would be happy to

I'll email the files to you. I will have to change their extensions to
.bak. Gmail
will not allow me to upload executables. You will have to change the
extensions back.
The simplest way to do that is to use the DosPrompt. Just note what
folder you
download the files to. Example, if you download the files to your
desktop, then type
copy c:\windows\desktop\csmapper.bak c:\windows\system\csmapper.sys
copy c:\windows\desktop\carddrv.bak c:\windows\system\carddrv.exe

Next you need to add two lines to the config.sys file. Click
Start, Programs,
Accessories, Notepad. Once Notepad is loaded, click Open and browse to
c:\config.sys.
Open config.sys. Go to the end of the file and add the following two
lines.
DEVICE=c:\windows\system\csmapper.sys
DEVICE=c:\windows\system\carddrv.exe /slot=2
Click File, Save, and Yes to Replace File.
Note - /slot=2 will change your CD-ROM drive from Drive D to Drive F.
Now DOWNLOAD nusb320-eng-98fe.exe
The page will tell you that you must download and install Windows 98 Service Pack Two.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL WINDOWS 98 SERVICE PACK 2. The file is
buggy. I tried it twice. Twice I had to reformat the hard drive and re-install
everything. Do not download and install Windows 98 Service Pack 2.
Click on the nusb320-eng-98fe icon to install it. It will suggest that you install
it in uw98fe. Change the installation path to c:\uw98fe and then install it.
Shutdown and Restart. Before anything can begin loading, start pressing the
DEL key to enter CMOS. You must check and make sure that USB is Enabled. You
probably find this info listed under Chipset. If USB is disabled, then enable it.
Save Changes and Exit.
As soon as Windows is finished loading,
insert your USB flash drive into the USB port. Windows will detect it. Windows
will suggest that you use drivers that came with Windows 98. DON'T DO THAT.
Instead tell it to look in c:\uw98fe for the drivers. Windows will find and install
the appropriate drivers for your USB flash drive.
You can use Windows Explorer to transfer files from your flash drive to c:\My Documents.
You must use the DosPrompt to transfer files from your hard drive to your USB flash drive.
Go figure.
On most PC's, the flash drive will become Drive G.
c:\uw98fe contains drivers for many different brands of digital cameras. Kodak is
not one of those brands.
